Plan your instructional time for Inquiry Journeys units and lessons. An Inquiry typically takes 6–10 weeks to complete, with 20–25 Core lessons and 8–12 Extension lessons. Most lessons are 45 minutes, while Kindergarten lessons are 30 minutes. If instructional time is limited, explore the resource below for strategies to help save time.

Inquiry Journeys lessons build on one another to maintain the coherence of the Inquiry Arc. We recommend teaching all core lessons and modules to preserve the intended sequence. Skipping lessons or modules may disrupt the Inquiry Arc progression and impact standards coverage.
