Rachel Strang

Hi, everyone! My name is Rachel, and I’m an Implementation Coach here at inquirED. As a former teacher and K–12 social studies supervisor, I was mostly responsible for creating my own curriculum or finding my own resources – and it was exhausting! When I stumbled across inquirED’s inquiry-based curriculum, I knew it was an opportunity to get inquiry into even more classrooms in a way that allows teachers to spend more time thinking about student needs rather than trying to find or create resources. As a coach, I get to work closely with Inquiry Advocates and district leaders to support teachers in implementing the curriculum. I love helping people make connections to the world around them and their own experiences, which is what we strive to do with our approach to professional learning!

My Getting Started Tip

The Inquiry Hub has so much to offer all learners – from collections of instructional strategies and ideas for supporting learners, to eLearning courses about specific topics to support inquiry. You can find all types of resources by clicking on “Toolboxes” or “Topics” to see things organized in different categories. When you see an icon that has a signpost with a title, that means it’s a course.

These courses are typically around 90 minutes, but you can complete them at your own pace over time! You can also search for a specific topic or browse all activities to find what you're looking for. Don’t see something that you’d like to learn about? Let us know! We will be continually adding more resources based on what we hear from educators.
